Professional liability of expert accountants and auditors

Object of insurance:
The insurance is mandatory for the registered auditor when practicing the auditing profession according to Art. 31, para. 1, item 8 of the Law on Independent Financial Auditing (IFA), as well as the certified public accountant within the meaning of the IFA, covering the liability for damages caused to their fiduciaries in the course of their activities. The insurance can be concluded as a voluntary insurance by persons carrying out activities under the Accounting Act.

All sums up to the agreed limits of compensation that the insured is legally obliged to pay as compensation for property damage caused to fiduciaries if they are a direct and immediate consequence of culpable failure to fulfill professional duties as a certified public accountant or registered financial auditor, (including due to negligence, errors or omissions) according to the current regulations;
All expenses for settlement of claims and claims made with the consent of the insurer, up to the limits agreed in the insurance.
Insurance compensation is paid after presenting a written claim on the basis of an out-of-court agreement between the parties to the insurance contract and the injured third party, or, if such a claim is not reached, on the basis of an effective court decision.
