Professional Liability of Insurance Brokers and Insurance Agents
Object of insurance:
Insurance is mandatory according to Art. 305 of the Insurance Code (for the insurance broker) and Art. 316, para. 2 of the Insurance Code (for the insurance agent), covering the liability for damages caused during insurance or reinsurance mediation.
IJSC "Armeec" insures the insured's professional liability in relation to:
All sums up to the agreed compensation limits, which the insured insurance broker or his employee is legally obliged to pay as compensation for the damages that occurred during or in connection with the performance of insurance and/or reinsurance mediation activities as a result of culpable action or inaction according to the current regulations ;
All sums up to the agreed compensation limits, which the insured is legally obliged to pay as compensation for damages caused by the culpable action or inaction of an insurance agent - a natural person or of his employees, if he is a legal entity, on the occasion of carrying out insurance mediation according to the current regulations;
All claims settlement costs, (including lost profits as a direct and immediate result of tort and default interest awarded against the insured), incurred with the consent of the insurer, which are included in the agreed limits of compensation.
Compensation is paid for well-founded claims submitted in writing during the insurance period as a result of insured events that occurred within the agreed period of insurance on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria and the member states of the European Union and the European Economic Area, on the basis of an out-of-court agreement between the parties to the insurance contract and the injured third party, or, if such cannot be reached, on the basis of an effective court decision.
